Hey guys 🥳, since this is all new, and I'm delighted you've signed up, I thought I'd just say good evening and talk a bit about plans for the coming days and weeks.
In 2-3 hours (midnight UK time | 7pm US), my audio podcast about satanic rituals and scientology with ex-scientologist Jon Atack will drop on Locals for paid supporters! It's ad-free and 20 hours before the video premieres on YouTube.
Tomorrow at noon UK time (morning elsewhere!), I'm releasing my weekly '3 things I learned'. The 3 topics are: The Love Hormone, Polygamy in the Desert & 'Good Paedophiles'. To be clear, the last one doesn't sympathise with or advocate for anything like that. It's just something my guest said. As for the first two, I owe two very special Locals members for the ideas (and they shall be cited in the article tomorrow!).
Tomorrow, I might release another video from my series on paedophilia. I don't want to saturate you guys with such a gruesome topic, but at the same time, I like the idea of having a 'series' I focus on each month. I plan also this month to re-release my interview with Chris Hansen (To Catch A Predator) for a watch-along, as well as my interview with Dr. James Cantor about how paedophilia (as well as heterosexuality and homosexuality) develop.
*From Friday to Tuesday, I might have a bit less time, but will try to keep you in the loop, and drop in with messages like this! This is because I have some big meetings with Pan Macmillan Publishers about my book, set to be released early April: Take It To The Grave: Adventures with secrets, cults and influencers.*
I am excited because I have handed in the final draft, and now will be meeting the audio team to discuss how I'll record the audio book. I'll also meet with the sales team, the publicist and the online marketing team. I might get an early look at the book cover design too! I also want to see if they'll let me do a discount for Locals supporters, and to ask about them arranging tours to libraries in different towns. I presume that'd start in the UK, but if the book does well in the US and other countries...
I'm also recording an in-person interview with Andrew Lownie for the podcast. He wrote The Mountbattens, about King Charles' mentor Dickie Mountbatten - an alleged child abuser and child trafficker allegedly assassinated by the IRA. Any questions you'd like me to ask, below please!
AND I'm meeting with a documentary commissioner at the BBC. They want ideas relevant to British audiences to do with stories that are unfolding while I investigate. I have...absolutely NOTHING. In fact, the only ideas I have are like TV Series ideas.
1. A documentary series where I meet people young and old who are desperate to make it as YouTubers, and follow their journeys as they turn into obsessions.
2. Cult Tubers: I meet the people who have left cults - and still in cults - who are using YouTube to get their message out there. I'd cover everything from Hasidic Judaism to Scientology.
But these are both 'series' formats...I don't know. Any thoughts?
As for next month, on Locals, we can do psychopaths, and HG Tudor will come back on YouTube! We will record a segment about psychopathy exclusive to Locals. We can do a watch party for my interview with ME Thomas, a psychopath who scares me!
That's my update for now, let me know what you think!
